Short version: LarderKeep has no account server. Your kitchen inventory lives on your devices and syncs through your own private iCloud โ the developer never sees it. A few optional features send limited data directly to third parties only when you use them, and the app sends anonymous crash & diagnostic reports so it can be kept stable. That's it: no advertising, no tracking, no analytics profile of you.
The food items you add are saved on your device using Apple's SwiftData and synced across your own devices through your private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). This data stays within your Apple account โ the developer has no access to it and operates no server that holds your inventory.
Some optional features send limited information directly from your device to third-party services, and only when you actively use that feature:
Any API keys you enter for these features are stored solely in your device's Keychain and are never transmitted to the developer. Each third party handles the data it receives under its own privacy policy.
LarderKeep uses Sentry to report crashes, app hangs, and errors so the app can be diagnosed and fixed. This includes crash stack traces, performance and diagnostic information, and technical breadcrumbs about what the app was doing. To protect your privacy:
Item details are structured by Apple's on-device Foundation Models, and photo identification can fall back to Apple Vision. This processing happens entirely on your device; your groceries are not sent anywhere for it.
You can sign in with Apple, or continue without signing in. If you sign in, Apple provides an anonymous user identifier which is used only to associate your data with your account. We never receive your email, and Apple's Hide My Email keeps it private if you choose to share one. You can continue as a guest at any time.
LarderKeep schedules local "eat soon" reminders on your device. No notification data leaves your device.
LarderKeep does not track you as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, contains no advertising, and uses no marketing analytics. The diagnostic reporting described above is for stability only and is not linked to your identity.
The app is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
