What LarderKeep is

LarderKeep is a kitchen inventory app for iPhone and iPad. Add groceries by barcode, photo, or by hand; it tracks what you have, warns you what to eat soon, and helps you turn what's in your larder into meals. Your inventory lives on your devices and syncs through your own iCloud.

Getting started

Add items — scan a barcode, snap a photo, or type an item in. Details like shelf life are filled in automatically.
Eat Soon — the app surfaces items approaching the end of their shelf life so nothing gets forgotten.
Cook Tonight — tells you what to use up first, ranked by which items are closest to their eat-by date.

Do I need an account or a key?

No. Every feature works on a fresh install with no account, no API key, and nothing to buy. Cook Tonight and photo identification run on your device; earlier versions asked for third-party API keys, and those have been removed.

iCloud sync

Your inventory syncs automatically through your own private iCloud (CloudKit) when you're signed in to iCloud, so it stays consistent across your iPhone and iPad. The developer cannot see or access it — it lives in your iCloud account, not on any server we run.

How to delete your data

Your inventory is yours to remove at any time:

Delete individual items in the app by swiping or using the item's delete action.
Delete the app from your device to remove the local copy.
Remove the iCloud copy in Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, then choose LarderKeep.

Privacy

LarderKeep has no marketing analytics, no ads, and no tracking. It sends anonymous crash & diagnostic reports (with your inventory content masked) so it can be kept stable, and optional features send limited data to third parties only when you use them. Full details are in the privacy policy.
